Berlin: Day 2

Our second day in Berlin consisted of looking at immense amounts of German art and really taking in the duality of Berlin’s different sides of the city. We began going to the art murals displaying thousands of artistic and political expressions on the Berlin Wall through different colors, words, and artistic visions that could’ve been interpreted in a million different ways. It was an intense and interesting couple of hours around the city. We then were given some time to explore on our own before heading to our next destination, which is when we stumbled upon a photo booth (one of many) in the midst of the bustling city. We had a chaotic yet exhilarating time taking photos group by group, which resulted in some wholesome memories being made.

We went to a theater cafe where we watched a movie on a far-left extremist group based on a real group from the 1960s to the 70s. It was a strong and intense film that impacted everyone after leaving the theater. After taking the wrong train back to the hotel in preparation for dinner, we ate a traditional German dinner with a sort of fried pork in its crackling, sauerkraut, and cooked potatoes. It was delicious and special, but very heavy on the stomachs of most of our group. Overall though, it was a good way to end the second night in the city.
