The fourth day in Berlin began bright and early as we went into a beautiful neighborhood and up a flight of suspicious stairs to meet a Danish correspondent living in Berlin. It was an excellent experience seeing someone working for a very independent media outlet and having him tell us his story of how he ended up in Berlin which started with having to learn German. After the meeting, each one of our groups did individual work for our Berlin assignments that consisted of phone calls, research, and long hours in the hotel lobby.

Those long hours were followed by walking around the city, window shopping, and a rainy endeavor to a night market in Berlin that had a wide variety of food. Before the night market, I tried German currywurst for the very first time. It was definitely different than a normal hot dog It made me admire the diverse palette that Berlin has and the way Berlin is able to make many different types of food from different countries without losing the quality. The city has a more diverse demographic of people and cultures than Denmark.
