Last Official Day

Today was a busy last day of our official stay. We started the day with our normal group breakfast and then went for a visit to the Olympic Stadium. We learned about the German history of sports, the 1936 Olympics and the use of sports as a tool of propaganda. Journalistically the importance and influence of propaganda is what really stuck with me from the morning tour.

After a train ride and a short tummy kebab lunch, we headed off to a concentration camp. Journalistically it’s important to remember mistakes of the past to help ensure that those responsible are brought to justice and held responsible in the future. The tour was really interesting and informative and was great to see.

We ended off our study trip with a great dinner before saying by to the Norwegians and heading out for a night of fun.
