Day two was a bit calmer than our day 1. We also started with breakfast, and dived into the german culture. Our first stop was the East Side gallery, which consists of murals by many different artists over the Berlin Wall. It was very nice to see what artists have to say, how they portray it, and how people interpret their works. What was weird however was seeing some part of the wall empty, and after some research and explanation from the internet, it turns out that the wall was restored, and almost all of the artists repainted their parts, except for some who didn’t believe that their work can be redone, so, instead of replacing them, they kept them unpainted.
After that, we started heading towards Il Kino, a one of its kind cinema. We of course had to detour when we found a photo booth and did a strategic plan to get all nine of us in the four pictures strip.

In the cinema, we watched a true story movie about the RAF called The Baader Meinhof Complex. It was a bit confusing to me because I didn’t know about this extremist group before the movie, and the timeline they showed was kind of jumbled up. But I did like the conversation we had after and the discussion about terrorism and this group in specific because we humanized with them at first until we didn’t because of their terrible actions.
